About me

Born in Brittany, I developed from a young age a true passion for languages. After a year spent as an au-pair in Dublin, I studied for an undergraduate degree in English from the University of Rennes 2 (Brittany). A few years later, I completed this degree with a Master in Translation and Interpreting Studies from the University of Manchester, with distinction.

I have been working part-time as a freelance translator since 2014. Over time, I have developed my translation skills in the fields of environmental, commercial and literary translation. I strongly believe in the importance of CPD and I take every opportunity to further my knowledge of the translation market, keeping up to date with the latest translation technologies and informing my practice with subject specific research and classes.

Having settled in Manchester, I regularly travel back to France to visit friends and family. From a professional point of view, this continuous contact with both languages and cultures helps me to maintain a high proficiency level in my work as a translator.

Although I chose to specialise in the translation of English material, I am an avid learner of languages in general. As well as English, I studied Italian and Breton (Brittany’s own language) during my college years, and started learning Spanish a few years ago at the Cervantes Spanish Institute in Manchester.
